I just realized today that I spell “never mind” without any spaces: “nevermind”. For some weird reason never mind looks weird with the space. Should I fix my spelling habit? Eh.
Just to be sure, I looked up the word “nevermind” (without space). This is what I found:
nev·er·mind /ˌnɛvərˈmaɪnd, ˈnɛvərˌmaɪnd/ –noun Older Use.
- attention; heed; notice (usually used in negative constructions): Pay him no nevermind.
- business; affair; responsibility (usually used in negative constructions): It’s no nevermind of yours.
It’s an old word, not used any more. Well…
Nevermind… –;;;
